Worsted

Worsted

I'm having the worst blues ever
Just sitting on my sofa
Cuddling dead silence
I wish I were a coffin
Home to a dead body
That's fled existence.

I do not fit in.
Charlatans
Life and the rules we
Live by
Constantly cheating us
Stealing cheap loose change
Offering cheap small talk
And big
Proffering cheap glory
Death is another great cheat
The cheapest choicest escape
When
The price of life escalates
And you can't buy time
With bravery
Nor fool death
With bravado.

Hermaphrodites are blessed.
To
Be at the cross roads
Between man and woman,
Best of both existences;
So in my country,
They're spurned with fearful hatred, revulsion,
Or courted for their prescient blessings.

We're all mendicants
Seeking spiritual alms,
Begging grace and mercy,
Purchasing salvation.

Each transaction
Secretes steel from our spine
Makes us spiritual reptiles
Blowing hot and cold
Bowing
whichever way
The wind blows.

Living in this cess pool
Watching visitations of
Death the dementor
Who sucks out our souls
Unmarks us
From the list
Of living

We're all bound
For Dementia
Passages of life chequered with sunshine and soft flesh
Forgotten,
Oblivion
Looking at us
In amazement.

Hope winks at
Delusion.
Sly conspiracy to keep us
In Love
With living.

If there's a God
If he wants my
Supplication
Lord, let me live
Forever and ever
At the cross roads

Let me become
Invisible Shadow of myself
Between bodily life
and dust of death.

Forgo this slow skewering over
Ovens of reckoning
This sure putrefying
Helplessness
Against
Decomposition.

Dearly Beloved
You never had to see
worms rotting
In the eyes of
Beloved.

Heaven hell the same thing
As long as
Neither you nor I
Remember them
Revisitations
Are mirages
Unless the past
Life lessons
Remain.

Even as
Extant
Archived heirlooms.

Give me leave
To be
A hermaphrodite
Between this fleeting
Vibrancy called
Life
And the
Burning ground
Death.

Dream me no more
Your will o' the wisp
Nor cast me out from empty shell

If you will
My being
Obliterate.
Free me from your systemic
Expulsion
I will not be
Your ordained fate. ..
