Benediction
Benediction pours
Like rain down through
The pain burns like acid
The hurt is true..
I am Here to enjoy the view
I feel I miss yes I do
but I cannot give in to you
Beloved pain
When silk
benediction
Pours through the
Rain...
I have early memories
Prayers with my mamma
Upon my knees.
And I have you too
In a way that only I can keep
A painted copy which makes me weep
A forgery
That surpasses
The authentic.
You can be a thousand miles away
And speed your life down lanes
Of choice
Loaded with fresh baggage
Of course I remember you
With love
And there's respect and tears
Of affection
No bitterness.
I refuse to give in to the madness
Of self defeating longing
For I have cheery feel good
Things to do
Life isn't about
Me and you.
Sully my skies when moods
Strike
And still the storm will pass
And then
My father appears through
Breaking clouds
Cracking a mythic grin
Baby
What's this all about
You found a man
Is he as good as I?
Pain is a train of memories
Some bogeys are just bogeymen
No power at all to harm you when
love and support,
Lovely, gentle, serene
Rains
A
Silk wrapped past
Of
care
beyond the wear and tear
Of men
I can do this
is my refrain
Because
Benediction just
Pours like rain.
