Myth and Magic (Slop Challenge)

Memories of Myth and Magic

I am in the womb
Its not round there are corners
Lovely shadowy retreats
Memories of magical bliss
An iced compartment
Where time can freeze
I'm sleeping knees tucked into my chest
In the suitcase of seven seas
I feel the waves lapping caressing
Cushioning
Dreams of magic
Made In ancient times
the lodestone of myths.

I am at the foothill of folklore
The slanting rays of sun washing sin away
Awed I ascend the hill of
Hope the doorway
Of the temple
Inviting
Declining
Arches of darkness
Fecund
Possibilities..
My  pulse beating drums
Unbelievable rhythms
Escalating definition
Myth and magic.

God is glance searing my
Love starved heart
Where true love remains
Mirage
A miracle sought.

Dull pain  in my  veins
Unfulfilled potential mapped
against richness
ores unmined
The refractive index
Determining the glimmer
and shine
Cunning wink of
Diamond nose studded  Goddess...
She is available alive
If we bend ourselves
To catch the light.

Magic in mantras of
Muddied ancestral memories
Years of
Yearnings
raising racial elegies

(Lissome Guinevere
Either Arthur is kind
Or Lancelot
No betrayal is truly blind)

Longings coursed to life
invocation in
chants of
pure unstoppable ecstacy

Myth of Dead Gods disproved
Their deeds are walking
Displaying thunder and lighting
And Whorls of kindness
Spiraling mercy in
Prismatic halos
Of compassionate joy

(Helen and Paris standing
Forever together
By the walls of Troy.)

Now that I have seen
Patterns of rainbow
The magic lantern fades
The theatre lights go on...

Sunlight creeping tendrils of
Logos and full blown fuss
Daytime love
Upon the windowsill.

I'm distraught
Lost in lucid thoughts
Somewhere deep down
The gullet road...
Snapped tightly shut
A suitcase locked

Myth or Magic
Drifting slowly
South by south west
off the coast of
Real time thoughts
To barbarous borderlands.

(Boadicea stands still at Kings cross
Awaiting her morning train
Forgetting her queen's victory
She examines her nails...)
